About GravelCalc
GravelCalc is the quarry arithmetic: tons by area and depth, cost by stone type, the driveway depth that survives trucks, and the paver base layers under the patio.
GravelCalc exists because gravel is sold by the ton, planned by the yard, and hauled by the scoop — three units that do not speak to each other. The conversions are simple, and doing them before the delivery truck arrives is the entire product.
Every calculator on GravelCalc shows its formula and its assumptions on the page, so you can check the math, reproduce it in a spreadsheet, or argue with it. Inputs are processed entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to a server, and there are no accounts.
GravelCalc is an independent, ad-supported project. We are not affiliated with any lender, brand, agency, or the sources we cite (manufacturer coverage specs and industry rules of thumb). If a number looks wrong, the contact page reaches a human who fixes it.
What makes GravelCalc different
